How to achieve A2 panel classification?

ROCKWOOL stone wool combined with coated metal sheets forms the basic structure of non combustible sandwich panels. Special organic adhesives are used to secure a strong bond between the steel sheets and the ROCKWOOL insulation core.
To achieve Euroclass A2-s1,d0, the PCS per kg of sandwich panels is never an issue for ROCKWOOL cored panels. The critical part is the surface value of 4MJ/m² for the adhesive and coating layer.

Some simple rules must be considered to achieve Euroclass A2-s1,d0:
- Optimised ROCKWOOL core materials SPANROCK / CONROCK / LAMROCK
- Metal surfaces with organic or inorganic coatings
- Dedicated and expanding adhesives with PCS ≤ 4 MJ/m² and less than 1 mm thickness
