Fire resistance tests
Fire tests with sandwich panels for walls and roofs have to be carried out in accordance with EN 1364-1 (non-load-bearing walls) and EN 1365-2 (load-bearing roofs). Fire Resistance tests require specific equipment which is harmonized in the EU. EN 13501-2 evaluates the real situation behaviour of building elements inside bigger constructions. The building system test specimens are 3 m x 3 m minimum size.
The main limiting criteria are the average and maximum temperature increase, bending rate and ignition.
