Our environmental improvements for the many, depend on a good responsible relationship with the few who have a Rockwool factory in their neighbourhood.
In 1991, the Rockwool Group acquired the stone wool factory in Flechtingen in the Eastern part of Germany. The factory has been modernised to include effi cient environmental technology. A good, responsive dialogue with the local community is maintained and the quality of air and environment is high. This is given added credibility by the fact that in 1999, after stringent air quality tests, Flechtingen was offi cially declared ’Luftkurort’ and is now hosting a popular clean air health resort.
